So I had to buy a new case. I usually build my own, but thought I would give the Vaio a try. Now I've gone back to building my own. Well I guess I have just been lucky. By business has had 7 laptops, all of which are 3 plus yrs old with the exception of one that is just under a year, not one blip from any of them. Only had this new one here for a few days, but that's why I bought the warranty to cover any glitches since I am unfamiliar with this model and style.

The Laptops have been great though. I do not game so that isn't an issue. My wife will be doing HD Video editing on it, that's the only reason I went that route. I really don't know if it really makes any difference either way.

Yes it is the All in one, no tower or cables, just one power cord, very clean. Blue tooth keyboard and mouse, very nice. I had a Think Pad, went south on me, several years ago.

I am pretty sure the HD on this one is a Western Digital I'll have to pull out the build sheet to verify that.

I am stuck with the Duo Core 3. I have my son looking into that for me or for her rather. This was just a lot less investment if this new thing of hers doesn't last. My son has an Alienware liquid cooled monster that he games on at his apartment. I just like the clean look of the all-in-one. And the 22" wide-screen isn't too bad wither.

And the warranty even covers mishandling, so if it falls off the desk it's covered. You never know He said he would line me out with a dual processor G5 when and if we get ready for that. He said the way an Apple handles video and processes it is second to none.

But when that time comes, I will research it quite a bit before forking out that much for a computer. HP I will pass on hands down. I will never buy a preassembled system again. I've always had better experiences building PCs myself. When you build it yourself, you know exactly what's going into it, and you get full documentation on each component.

If you can't put it together yourself and you probably can, it isn't that hard , befriend a geek. Buy him a Doctor Who action figure and put him to work. I always tell people to buy what works for them. It's kinda like buying a vehicle. Why by a car if you really need a truck. Similarly, if Ford is more suited to you or your family's budget then why by a Porshe. However, if you want all the bells and whistles and can afford it, why get the Mbenz I agree.
