Tool set list salt lake city 2009
Right In Two Sober Disc 2: Lateralus Vicarious Tool Birmingham,Alabama. Sunday, August 23, TooL: Nov. Im gonna go out on a limb for a moment, please hear me out. This was the sixth time Ive seen them in three years 5th show recorded. Im so pissed off right now and I think other Tool fans would agree. The same songs now for two years, and nothing different at all on this tour. Cmon, anything off , Aenema or undertow would be great. Instead of the long ass interludes between songs and the drum ext.
We saw it all in and Also when you listen to this, they wernt even in key with eachother, almost trying to rush through the show. You know what? I would much rather see them take the stage with no light show, no backdrops, just them playing some great songs that havent been played in a long time. My wife and I were so Pissed we left before Vicaroius was even played. Sorry heard many times, so this is for the collectors. I hope you enjoy, and for the people who saw them for the first time, I hope you enjoyed it.
I love Tool, just would like to hear some older tunes. Monday, August 17, Adam's talk box didn't work during Jambi, he hits something on his pedal board, then plays.
Flood rocked, as usual. Maynard is a pussy for not singing at the end of Vicarious Jambi still ruff as I was being tossed around so much.
I tried to clean it up as best i could in mastering but, whatever. That being said, i must admit that i sacrificed the quality to get closer to the stage to enjoy the show, sorry. I nestled into my spot early in the day around 3pm, probably about 75 feet from the stack.
I tried not to speak much but, well, with my friends all around and my body full of beers and ect, it was impossible to stay totally quiet, so you'll hear me never singing tho and my friends discussing the show and guessing songs throughout.
At the start of the show the spot all around us became a mosh pit. On a personal note: I was hoping for a little more from the setlist.
But perhaps more tapers will capture the rest of the 09 tour and there will be some surprises for us. Finally, once again sorry for the quality, i hope this wont be the only source from this show, i hardly see how it could be but if it is, well then this is what it felt like to be 20 feet from the band and stage on their first show in nearly 2 years.
I hope you can enjoy it for what it is, i know i did. Notes: Tool was in the to 10 slot at Lollapalooza on one of the main stages. They played the complete set of songs that they have been playing on this short summer tour, minus 'Lost Keys'. No special guests unlike the rest of the summer tour. It was windy this evening, so you hear some rustling as a result. No fades or EQ besides that noted below. May 10 I thought our Crowd was Great! I felt the lesser enthusiasm from Maynard as well.. Did I not warn you to trade your floor seats!! Originally Posted by chiller. I was able to see what people were saying about the stage and awesome visual effects and how you couldn't get the whole effect from the floor. Then I decided to walk down to the floor to try and make my way to the front and soon noticed that the security wasn't letting anyone forward of the 19th row unless you had ticket for it sure it kept the trampling and squishing to a minimum, but I like to get as close as possible and behind the 19th row sucked and I didn't want to risk climbing over the chairs to get past security.
Overall they sounded awesome! Tool puts on a great show! I had fun and went with a shitload of other Tool fans to invade the local Denny's after the show to sober up a bit more before driving home. I hope to see Tool again soon. I hope to get closer seats next time. I didn't even bother to go to my seat on the 26th row. Last edited by metpetnet; at AM.. Originally Posted by ShadowSide. Should be a link. Originally Posted by Towely. I was really thinking a big screen was going to come up instead of the Christmas lights, but it was still cool. I am also 6'2" and still had a hard time catching any action. I saw Maynard like 5 times during the entire show. The stage setup was pretty weak but overall the music and the energy is what made it all worthwhile.
After Aenima I thought the roof was gonna collapse and thought maybe for sure they would play one more song but then the lights came on. My dancing monkey was not big and did not have bleached hair.
Glad to know there were MORE out there. Thanks for the apology.. It could not have been you if you are apologizeing. This kid was SUCH an ass.
Last edited by ShadowSide; at PM.. It wasn't the best one of the three, but it was still phenomonal. The stage was really cool at one point it looked like the whole stage was on fire. I was on the side, so I had a great view, without the meat heads. Most everything about the music and the show have already been covered, but I loved that they played Opiate and the whole sheep thing, I took that as a definite statement about Utah, but maybe I am reading into things.
Did anyone catch the shameless psuedo lesbian shit going on before Tool came on? I don't know if they were trying to get back stage or what, but it was stupid. Also, there was a guy holding signs as traffic was leaving the venue stating that Tool was evil and all sinners should repent. I am not sure if he was serious, but it was strange.
There were some real winners out last night! But all in all loved the show wish I could see a couple more this tour, hope they come back soon. Rate This Thread You have already rated this thread.
