Windows 7 start program maximized

Ross said, make sure you close the First window first, I recommend holding down the Ctrl. Using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. Might not work for other combinations. This worked but I still found Gmail opening in a minimized window which was annoying. You have control of a variety of toolbars available. These are the extra lines at the top of your screen some use to gain quick access to various features at times.

Toolbar examples include Menu, Favorites, Google, Bing and others. You can easily check to see what is active on your screen by Right-clicking on the top toolbar or any open toolbar. You are given a list of all available which has the ones you like checked along with other options. Uncheck everything. Down near the bottom you will find two more entries: Maximize and Minimize.

Check the Maximize entry. If you like, now check Lock the Toolbar and then Close at the bottom. Unchecking the toolbars was the key to solving my problem with Gmail. I have a mac. For some reason when I restart my computer, the settings for microsoft word get messed up.

When I open a word doc, it is a small size. How do I reset so I have a regular size document? It does not work with Windows 10!!! Apparently Microsoft does not realize that every extra click rubs humanity of millions of man-hours in productivity.

Kind regards, Michael P. Is there another method to ensure they always open maximised? As Leo mentioned in the article, some programs override this and open themselves however they want. Programmes that I cannot get to reopen maximised are those that are not actually shown as being installed as software. In my case, it is the desktop shortcuts to You-tube and Ebay — there is no facility in properties for altering window size.

IE 11 with Windows 7 64bt. Thank you so much for helping me with a frustrating problem. Now all windows open fully! I appreciate your help with that. Comments violating those rules will be removed.

Then you can click Apply and click OK to save the changes. You can open a program like a Word file, click the square icon at the top-right corner of the program to maximum the window. Close the application and open it again to check if it is opened as maximized. It helps you tackle various data loss situations.

Novice users can easily operate it. It allows you to easily backup and restore Windows operating system. Any program that you don't want it to load anymore on startup, simply uncheck the box beside that program's name. If later on you found your self that you need that program to load on startup, then you will have to check the box beside the application again.

Also note that in single click you can disable all program that are listed inside the System Configuration and load at the startup of your Windows. This is done by clicking on the Disable all button. For example, I will stop Windows Live Messenger to load on startup, so what I will be doing is to remove the checkbox from the box beside the Windows Live Messenger.

Click on Apply and you will notice that the date on which the selected application was disable on will be mentioned under the Date Disabled column. Once you click on OK , you will receive a dialog box informing you that the changes will not be applied till you reboot your machine, click Restart to reboot your machine, or if you want to reboot later, then click on Exit without restart.

When your machine boots up, the programs that were disable to load on startup will not load this time. For example, previously I have disabled Windows live Messenger to load on startup, and after I rebooted the machine, the Windows Live Messenger tray icon was not loaded into the notification area.
