Xperia x10 proxy for wifi

Tell me your service provider name so that I can post how to do the settings manually. Most service providers haven't yet added X10 series in their index to send automatic settings.

Baskar The method I'm using to connect to WiFi through proxy won't work everywhere. I own a server in my institute which I use as a web based proxy to browse internet. Well, everything seems fine for my internet settings. One problem is i cant excess any net based applications. Please advice what to do. I'm using Reliance-Gprs Mumbai.

If the internet based apps work in that case, then you should change the operator and switch to Airtel or any other which gives non-proxied internet GPRS. I dunno whether Reliance GSM has such a plan or not. If they have, then switch to that plan. Prabh Ya there is proxy server in Reliance. I think you might be right. Is there any other operator other then airtel which give non proxy gprs? Also I dont have Market Application on y phone. Do we need to update it for getting that or what?

Many operators do provide proxyless GPRS. BSNL I know. Aircel does too. Probably Vodafone doesn't. There tick the Unknown Sources option. Hey dear I want to surf internet on my pc using my x10 mini as a modem. I have airtel sim. What settigs I ll ve to do on my pc. Please help. You need to have a rooted Android 2. Then you can easily use your phone's internet on PC by installing one of these apps on your pone.

I am Shashi again. Firstly, thanks for your suggestion to my earlier query. But I had read somewhere that it is required to be a specialy formatted chip for this phone. Can you help me on this topic please? I don't think so. You can put any microSD card. Hi Dear Prabh I have got a x1o mini.

Thanks for information u have provided regarding applications. But I am also facing d same problem that megha August 28, PM has mentioned i. Can u plz help me out with this?

I have installed 2. I want to know if it is upgradable to next version 2. Regards Shashi. Probably your problem will be solved. Shashi SE hasn't made any announcement about the release of 2. But I believe they won't do it because they concentrate more on releasing new phones instead of upgrading old ones. Moreover, don't worry about the HSPA issue. The phone has HSPA and supports speed upto 7. Nice Blog! I have experienced the same wifi problem, I find it difficult to connect via wifi, even if it say connected it wont surf the internet, sometimes it works sometimes not.

How do I fix these problem? Thx Rizky. Rizky "Sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't" means its not an issue with ur phone settings. Mishail This post is old now. So the applications in that archive are now old as well. I would recommend you to visit ipmart-forum. Is there a way that I can access internet on my laptop via xperia when it is connected to wifi?? Btw the blog is great :.

However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net. To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this. Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

I'm new to android, n is planning 2 develop a web browser on android os as my final year project Well my question is can i develop a browser by just creating a proxy server as i being a student cant go for developing a whole server on Internet. I have done all the necessary settings of proxy in my emulator using comand line as well as Graphical from the emulator's mobile settings. By doing this internet browsing is running in my emulator, but when i run my project to import google maps in my application, Only grid shown having no maps on it.

I think proxy server donn't let it to download maps from the site. I want to start Android Emulator with internet support but am unable to use the brower on the emulator, it seems like it is not connected. Is this possible with the emulator? Or what am i doing wrong? Am using Android SDK 1. I want to synchronise my Sony Ericsson X10 with the sony ericsson website, and the instructions say: - First, you need to select Sony Ericsson as the default sync service:From the Home screen, tap the applications bar.

I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer e. After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.

Can anyone advice if there is an application which forces android phone go internet over some proxy-server? I've noticed there are no such settings on G1, like you can no set it up manually in Network Settings. Maybe there is an app which creates routes same way you can do in WinXP or something? I am trying to log onto my company website to check my email. I click on the intranet link and received a message that says "there is a problem with the security certificate for this site.

I click on the continue button and the page says "You are not authorized to view this page. Your web browser is sending a WWW-authenticate header field that the web server is not configured to accept.

Http error I don't have this problem on my iphone. My friend has a sprint Palm phone and it doesn't have this issue either. My other coworker uses a verizon Android phone and it doesn't have any issues accessing the website.

Sprint duplicated the error at tech support with another Hero phone and advised it is the companies website and not sprint. I contacted my company and they advised it is isolated to the HTC Hero phone. Detail Descriptioin: 1. So I did some modding unfortunately to the framework-res. What do I do? I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res. So what can I do now? I was also able to pull files Also tried manually putting the framework-res.

Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard. I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag! I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone.

I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way.
